Unlucky Planet Games is an indie games company whose focus is creating the games that they would want to see and play. The company name combines the names of two of the founder's art studios, but also showcases an ideal-the love of creation no matter the circumstances.
The team loves the vibrant gradient logo, but other options were needed for simplicity needs: printing, iconography, or (in the case of the skull planet icon) to differentiate between sci-fi focused or horror focused games.
A color palette was created with tonal options to ensure that accessibility could be a priority when creating assets and materials. The team was supplied with a chart of which colors worked with which backgrounds to ensure appropriate contrast.
Limited color palette icons were created for flavor and interest in outreach and marketing assets. This is just the start of an expanding series.
